Theatre Groups: Greenock Youth Theatre

Greenock Youth Theatre

The GREENOCK YOUTH THEATRE rose from the CAROLE FRY STUDIO THEATRE, upon the retirement of our founder Miss Carole M. Fry.

Classes take place in the Wallace Bennett Theatre and various rooms within the Arts Guild Theatre complex. Usually in the Spring / Summer term each year, a show is presented in the Arts Guild Theatre.

Carole Fry's Studio Theatre was formed by Carole M. Fry, at the age of 19. Over the years, the school expanded to well over 100 young people.

The Studio was developed into the Greenock Youth Theatre in September 2006, upon the retirement of Miss Carole Fry. Under the new leadership of Andrew McGregor, Marianne Yeomans and Caroline Millar, the Greenock Youth Theatre continually goes from strength to strength - now one of the largest in Scotland.

With over 100 students, the Greenock Youth Theatre is one of the most thriving youth theatre companies in Scotland.
