Artist Profiles: St Phillans
Situated on the River Clyde with views to Cumbrae and Bute. We have been making jewellery in a small studio at St Phillans for about 7 years.
Started as a hobby making gifts for family and friends, this developed a desire to experiment with different techniques using a wide range of components. Requests for special occasion items developed our range further and we have slowly built a returning customer base.
Most of our designs are made from Precious and Semi Precious stones, Fresh Water Pearls, Venetian Murano Gold Foil Glass, Swarovski Crystals , Artisan Lampwork, .925 Sterling Silver,
.975 to .997 handmade silver and 14 to /22 ct Rolled Gold. (US gold filled). Unlike gold plate which eventually wears off, rolled gold has a gleam and durability similar to 9ct gold which allows jewellery artists the facility to incorporate a quality finish into their pieces at affordable costs.
Some of our pieces incorporate a unique, or unique set of components, individually crafted by world established glass artists to produce a truly original item, which cannot be repeated.
Due to the vast array of components available, we rarely make any item twice.
