Haborlite Music: Asto Small Ships Race

Riverside Inverclyde are hosting the 2009 Small Ships Race at Victoria and East India Harbour.

On 8th August the first of the small ships fleet of monohull yachts will arrive at Greenock's Harbours to mark the start of the 2009 Association of Sail Training Organisations (ASTO) Small Ships' Race.

It is hoped that over 20 vessels will participate carrying young crews from around the UK and Ireland.

On Tuesday 11th August the fleet will form a Parade of Sail on their way to the start line for the race in Belfast. In Belfast they will join the Tall Shops which will have raced across the Atlantic from Halifax, Nova Scotia.
